The Boyne Valley Branch of the Queensland Country Women’s Association has played a vital role in the community since its inception on 21 November, 1935.
The 100year old QCWA hall in Railway Terrace, Ubobo is well maintained and was officially opened in April 1959. Recently the Gladstone Regional Council heritage listed the building because it represents the movement of buildings across the valley following the early development of the region.
The hall began life in Many Peaks as a Post Office in 1914; was later moved to Littlemore to become the Littlemore Memorial Hall and finally was gifted to the Boyne Valley QCWA and moved to Ubobo after the Ubobo Memorial hall burnt down destroying all the CWA’s records and possessions.
The hall is available for hire and catering services are available on request for dinners, birthday parties, weddings and other community events
Our aim is to help support those in need and we are part of a National and World Wide organisation.
Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 12 noon and new members are most welcome.
Helping people in need is the heart of the QCWA.
Making a difference in the lives of individuals is what we strive for.
Fun and friendship is our goal.
Meetings are held on the last Monday of each month at 9:15am at the QCWA Hall, Ubobo.
New members are always welcome.
