The Boyne Valley Branch of the Queensland Country Women’s Association has played a vital role in the community since its inception on 21 November, 1935. The present hall in Railway Terrace, Ubobo was officially opened in April 1959 after being moved from Littlemore. The building has been well maintained and is of historical importance as it was originally built in 1914 as the Many Peaks Post Office.
Catering services are available for Boyne Valley Lions Club dinners, birthday parties, weddings and other occasions. Our hall is also available for hire.
Our aim is to help support those in need and we are part of a National and World Wide organisation. Visit our parent organisation here
Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 12 noon and new members are most welcome.
The International segment of QCWA involves the whole community. A different country is studied each year and culminates in an International Luncheon to which children and staff from Builyan, Ubobo and Nagoorin schools and members of the public are invited. All children enter competitions and we have a history of bringing home winners at Division and State level.
Thank for supporting our events this year. They were a great success.
