There always seems to be something happening in the valley. As a small community with most events organised by community volunteers, we always seem to be just getting over one event when it is time to start planning for the next.

the garden market boyne valley
OPEN: Wednesday to Sunday 8am – 5pm
The Garden Market Boyne Valley, Dawes St. Nagoorin is a new addition to the Boyne Valley, opening on Wednesday 19th May 2021.
Local gardener, Shelley Hughes, is producing beautiful home grown produce and supplementing this with regionally sourced fruit and veg.
To source your fresh fruit and veg, drop into The Garden Market Boyne Valley, say hello, and check out what Shelley has on offer. She can also meet your firewood needs.

Kirten’s Cottage
OPEN: Thursday to Sunday
Remember being given your lollies in a little white packet after you had made your selection from the array of lolly jars on display behind the grocer’s counter? You can do it again. Step back in time. Visit Kirsten’s Cottage, Pine St Corner, Builyan.
Kirsten’s Cottage is a unique vintage store, built in the 1940’s. Featuring giftware, a pre-loved clothing shop, coffee, cakes and other refreshments.
The Slice of the Day is highly recommended. Yummy!

OPEN: Last Sunday of the month 10am – 2pm
The cottage is filled with Boyne Valley memorabilia. it is worth your while to call in if it is only to see the Dudge Barram Collection – a small sample of one man’s life long love of collecting.

EVERY 6th Wednesday of the month
QCWA Boyne Valley Branch has organised the visit of a hairdresser to the valley every 6 weeks. You can catch the hairdresser at QCWA Hall, Ubobo.

Opening of the Dawes Range Tunnels
Saturday 11 September 2021 from 8am
What a celebration this will be! The first stage of the Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail, Barimoon to Golembil siding, will be opened.

Boyne Valley Country Music Campout
7-10 April 2022
Four days of fun and friendship.
The Boyne Valley Country Music Campout at the Discovery Centre, Ubobo Central Queensland will run from Thursday 7th April to Sunday 10th April 2022.
The aim of the weekend is to get all our country music (listening and performing) friends together to simply enjoy our music and each other’s company in an informal atmosphere. No doubt we will slip in some rock, bluegrass, folk and blues as well. Come and join the fun. Bookings essential.

Ubobo Soldier Settlement Centenary
ANZAC Weekend 2022
The Boyne Valley Historical Society will be going ahead with the Ubobo Soldier Settlement Centenary Celebration over the ANZAC weekend of 2022.
It is important the society knows how many people will be attending the event, as careful planning is needed in this COVID 19 era.
